The Left Berlin meets on the first Monday of each month to discuss what we have recently done and plan further activities. The next meeting is on Monday, August 4th. As usual, it starts at 7pm and is in Ferat Kocak's office, Schierker Straße 26. Anyone who is interested in our activities is invited to join the meeting.

8. ELECTION OF A NEW COORDINATING GROUP (See below)

At this meeting, a new Coordinating Group for The Left Berlin will be elected for the following six months.

The Coordinating Group was created to be a mechanism to make quick organizational and logistical decisions between the monthly organizational meetings on the first Monday of the month. Therefore, it was decided that we would set up a separate telegram group so that we could have a secure communications channel to make decisions.

This is not a substitute for the decision-making process that the organizational meetings are responsible for; rather, it serves as a representative decision-making body in between meetings. So, if you would like to get more involved with The Left Berlin, this is a great way to do it.

Things you should know about the organizing committee:

  • It probably takes about 30 minutes of your time a week
  • Decisions are made with a simple majority vote
  • It’s expected that members of the Coordinating Group will also attend the monthly meeting
  • In addition to working with amazing comrades who are really committed to the cause, there are some very funny people who will make you laugh, and goodness knows, we could all use that.
