Join theleftberlin team
theleftberlin.com publishes discussion on the international left, often from a Berlin perspective. We don't have a specific editorial line and aim to cover the range of opinions on the Left. We are always keen to find new people to join our team, and anyone interested can contact us below.
We currently all work on a voluntary basis and welcome anyone who shares our aims.
If you would like to write an article for the Website, please click this button and send us a message telling us what you would like to write about. Most articles on theleftberlin are between 700 and 1000 words, but we also publish longer articles when required.
We try to publish 1 article every day (except on Saturday when we send out our Newsletter). Each article is edited and proof read before release. Each of our editors edits one article per week, which they usually receive at least 24 hours before release.
Nearly every article that we publish on theleftberlin.com is now either original or a translation of an existing article. We therefore have a team of translators who mainly translate from German. We are also interested in other languages.
If you would like to join our translation team, please say which language(s) you can translate from.
We are in the process of setting up a social media team to coordinate and improve our presence on facebook, Instragram, Twitter and other social media.
If you would like to join our social media team, please say which social media you are particularly interested in.
Our editorial board has a short meeting (30-60 minutes) once a week (currently Sundays at 5pm) to review the previous week's articles and plan what we want to commission in the coming week. We also organise a longer open meeting on the first Sunday of each month for longer-term planning.
Click the button(s) which best fit your interests. If you want to get involved, but are not yet sure what you want to do, send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org (note new mail address), and we will send you more information.
