Gaza has been experiencing a genocide for 2 years. The bombing of hospitals, shooting of journalists and murder of children have become daily events. In reaction, an international movement for Palestine has been growing. Even in Germany we have experienced sparks of resistance.

Two years on, the resistance is continuing – both in Gaza, and throughout the world. But can our movement win? As Trump and Netanyahu plan further ethnic cleansing, what can we do to achieve liberation in Palestine?

To discuss these and other questions, The Left Berlin is organising a meeting around the anniversary of October 7th. The meeting will take place on Friday, 10th October in Panke Culture, Gerichtstraße 23, in Wedding.

Speakers include:
• Ann Kiernan from Ireland is an award winning political illustrator and visual artist based in Berlin,
• Ryad Aref from Gaza is a journalist who has been filming all the Palestine demos in Berlin in the last 2 years. His recent video of the police beating Irish activist Kitty O’Brien went viral.
• Roser Gari Perez is a Spanish activist and co-author of the new report: “Distorting Justice: Courtroom observations of Palestine-related cases in Berlin, Germany, April 2024 – August 2025”

Doors open at 6pm and the meeting starts at 7pm sharp. To be sure of a place, please book a free ticket here.
