Theleftberlin Website – looking back on 2020, looking forward to 2021
Time & Location
About the Event
Towards the end of 2019, we launched the website www.theleftberlin.com. In just over a year, we’ve published nearly 1000 articles from 76 countries about international left politics. We are now about to relaunch the Website so that it will look better, be easier to use and focus more on original articles and translations of articles which were unavailable in English.
And we need your help.
To reach our full potential, we need more editors, more translators, more people who use social media. And we want to develop a wider range of writers. Don’t worry if you don’t have much experience. We pride ourselves at being a Website from below – written by and for the international left in Berlin and beyond. And our experienced editors are happy to work with you.
If you are interested in being part of what we are doing, you are warmly invited to this online meeting. Even if you don’t want to get directly involved, we’re looking for people to read and recommend our articles, and to post them on social media.
If you have any questions, please come to the meeting or send us a message at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to hearing from you.
The meeting will be on Sunday, 6th December at 5pm Berlin time at https://video.linxx.net/TheLeftBerlinWebsite061220

Who we are
The Left Berlin is an online news and comment journalism project providing a platform for a broad range of progressive perspectives. We also collaborate on left-wing events and campaigns in the city.
Most of the articles on this website are written and edited by volunteers. This journalistic project is run by a small group of volunteer editors which grew out of the Berlin Left Internationals. We do not advocate any particular policy or political party, but seek to encompass a diversity of progressive opinions that cannot be found in the mainstream media.
We also produce a weekly Newsletter with information about activities in Berlin, the most recent articles on the Website and a Campaign of the Week, where we let you know about international campaigns which are active in Berlin.
