Every year, The Left Berlin organises a Summer Camp with meetings, workshops, networking, and culture.
If you are planning on coming, please register and fill in this form.
Summer Camp will happen on June 7th-8th this year at the Haus des Wandels – a large beautiful event space with sleeping rooms and a garden (plus pizza oven) that is near a lake. Vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free food (plus coffee and tea) for the whole weekend will be provided, drinks are available for purchase. We encourage people to stay over on Saturday night when we will have a pub quiz and bonfire.
It is a one hour drive from Ostkreuz. The train is half an hour to Fürstenwalde(Spree). From there you can bike on a paved, quiet street for an hour to the venue or take a shuttle provided by us. We will only be providing shuttles to/from the train station on Saturday morning and Sunday evening. If you're not staying over it would be best to bike, however there are a few extra cars and people who have offered to drive, so it's possible you could get a ride, but we can't guarantee it.
As of now, all of the 30 beds are taken, however, this doesn’t mean you can’t stay over. There is enough space for people to sleep elsewhere. We are bringing some blow up mattresses and there are a few couches and mattresses at the venue. Besides that, there is plenty of space for people to sleep in sleeping bags on the floor.
If you are planning on coming and need a bed for health or childcare reasons please fill out the form ASAP and write an email to team@theleftberlin.com so we can ask someone to give theirs up. Please also get in touch if you do not have a sleeping bag/isomat and we will try to organize one for you.
We're looking for people to carpool from Berlin, help with cooking, and ask everyone to help cleanup at the end of the weekend.
