Cacti: A Visual Protest Against the Silencing of Palestinian Voices in Germany

A gallery by Rasha Al Jundi

Separated by the Wall. Despite the similarities, the Israeli Annexation Wall in occupied Palestine is twice the height of the Berlin Wall (eight to nine meters versus four meters) . The former is also used to annex additional Palestinian lands while it is marketed by the state as a source of security to reduce so-called “terrorist” attacks from reaching Israelis. It separates families and loved ones from each other, Palestinian farmers from their lands and water sources and surrounds Palestinian towns and villages creating confined cantons.
